"I was a little skeptical at first..."
I was a little skeptical at first because places that claim to be close to everything usually aren’t, but this one was actually really convenient. Six Flags was super close, and the Lake George stuff wasn’t too far either. We didn’t have to spend half the trip in the car, which was a relief. The kids had a blast, and there was plenty nearby to keep everyone busy.

"Billing hiccup was handled faster than I expected"
I booked through Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and noticed an extra charge on my card afterward. I’ll admit, I immediately assumed it was going to turn into one of those annoying back-and-forth billing situations, and I was uneasy about it at first.

When I called customer service, the person I spoke with looked everything up calmly and didn’t make it feel like I was overreacting. Just from their tone, I got the sense they’d seen this kind of thing before and knew what to do, which made me feel a little better.

It did take a few days, and I had to follow up once, so it wasn’t totally seamless. But the refund showed up like they said it would, and overall they handled it reasonably well. I’d say 4 stars since they were helpful and didn’t let it drag out too long

"Helpful support that made booking easier"
In my experience, getting help was really easy. I called first and then followed up by email, and both times they got back to me quickly with useful answers. It definitely made booking our lodge stay feel a lot less confusing

"Check-in took a while"
I had to wait quite a bit when checking in, which was a little frustrating. Checkout was totally fine though and went smoothly. Did anyone else have the same issue with check-in taking longer than expected?

"Super easy cancellation tbh"
Had to switch up our trip last minute, and the lodge made the whole cancellation process way easier than I expected. The rules were clear, so I wasn’t stuck calling around or trying to figure things out. Got everything sorted fast, which was a huge relief. Really appreciated the flexibility, ngl.

"Great family stay overall"
Stayed at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge with my family and had a good time. The place felt well kept, our room was clean, the hallways looked cared for, and I noticed staff actually fixing small things instead of just letting them slide. The indoor waterpark was definitely the highlight for the kids, the arcade was fun too, and it was nice being able to grab food without having to leave the property. It wasn’t perfect, but for a family trip it was comfortable, easy, and felt worth it

"Birthday surprise was a really nice touch"
We booked one of the birthday packages for my son’s trip, I think it was the weekend after his actual birthday, or maybe a few days before, I can’t remember now. Either way, it made the whole stay feel more special. The room already had the little extras set up when we arrived, and he was so excited to see it. The staff was friendly, and it was all easy to arrange. It wasn’t over-the-top fancy or anything, but it was exactly right for a family birthday getaway. I’d definitely do it again...

"Room was way too hot"
The room was way too hot, and the thermostat barely seemed to do anything all night (which made it hard to sleep). I kept trying to adjust it, but it never really got comfortable

"We stayed here with my son..."
We stayed here with my son, who uses a wheelchair, and it was easy the whole time. The staff helped us with a good room location, the ramps were simple to use, and getting around the lodge didn’t feel stressful. The accessible room worked well for us too. It was nice not having to ask for help every five minutes, because that gets unnecessary fast when you’re just trying to relax.

"Friendly staff, but the timing was frustrating"
The staff were nice and genuinely seemed like they wanted to help, but the timing of everything was just off. Check-in took longer than it should have, and when we asked for towels, they didn’t show up until way later, which was annoying. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but they definitely need to get more organized

"Tickets Didn’t Link Properly"
I had to call twice because the park tickets never showed up like they were supposed to. It’s frustrating when you think everything is set, and then you go to check and nothing is linked right...

"Surprisingly quiet for a family lodge"
Stayed here over the weekend i was expecting it to be a lot noisier. Maybe I just got lucky or I’m too used to places being loud, but it was quiet at night. I heard kids in the hall once or twice, but nothing that really bothered me. Slept well and don’t really have any complaints.

"Overpriced and Too Much Waiting Around"
I left disappointed. We paid way too much for what ended up feeling like a very average stay. The room was okay, but nothing special, and it felt like every little thing either cost extra or was overpriced. On top of that, there was a lot of waiting around, which got frustrating fast, especially with kids. For what they charge, I expected cleaner common areas and better upkeep. Some parts just felt worn down, not like a place charging resort prices. The kids did have some fun, but overall I kept thinking we could’ve had a better trip somewhere else for less. I wouldn’t go back at that price

Took my kids here and they had a blast. There was plenty for them to do, and as a parent it felt easy to just relax a bit and let them enjoy themselves. The rooms were comfortable enough, nothing fancy, but totally fine. Staff were really nice with the kids too. We'd probably go back

"This suite was ridiculously roomy!"
The suite had SO much space for us it felt like we could’ve hosted a small family reunion in there. We were super comfortable the whole time, and I was genuinely thrilled with how roomy it was.

"Holiday event felt a bit disappointing"
We went for the holiday event and left feeling a little let down. It was crowded, a lot of the activities felt rushed, and whenever we had questions it kind of felt like we were getting passed around from one person to another. The kids did enjoy the lights, but beyond that there wasn’t much that stood out. For what the lodge charges, I expected a better experience.

"Fun indoor water park stay"
We mainly came for the indoor water park, and the kids had a blast. The slides were a hit, the wave pool was fun, and it was nice and warm inside even though it was absolutely freezing outside. I’m giving it 4 stars because it did feel crowded at times, and the lockers were more annoying than they needed to be. The food was also a little expensive for what you get, but I guess that’s kind of expected at places like this. Still, for a quick family trip, we’d probably come back again. "Wi-Fi picked a bad time to be unreliable"
The lodge itself was fine, but unfortunately we must’ve hit it at the wrong time because the Wi-Fi was rough for most of our stay. It kept dropping every few minutes, so the kids couldn’t really stream anything and even checking my work email was a struggle. The staff said it happens sometimes, which I get, but for what we paid it was still frustrating...

"Didn’t feel very safe at night"
I stayed here with my kids and, I don’t know, I just didn’t feel that safe at night. A couple of the side doors seemed like they could be too easy for anyone to get in, maybe I’m overthinking but it made me nervous. I also didn’t really see much security around when it was later. The staff were nice when we asked about it, so that part was fine, but still I felt uneasy. For a place that seems more family-friendly, I expected it to feel more secure...
